Comments:Pretty good program. I wish there were an easier way of entering tracks in sequence -- to do this currently you have to manually reposition the cursor to after the last entry.

Also, it would be nice to have a field that shows the start time of each track.

Comments:Hi,

I realy apreciat this tool, but it miss an option.
I'm explain:
I want to make a cue for a tape, i don't have the time of song and i have to search manualy.

So i juste want to put the time the song start not the song time.

Is it possible to make that ?

Thanks (and sorry for my english)

Comments:I think it's nice but it's not what I thought it would be... I thought it would ask me for the header info then, ask for the info of the tracks on a CD then write to a cue file.

It's nice, at least, that you thought about that.

By the way, it's working on Windows 7 build 7000 (beta) ;)

Comments:TIDYMP3 destroys low-frequency-MP3s

TIDYMP3 works GREAT (!!!) with standard MP3s (44100 Hz and 48000 Hz), but it destroys MP3s with frequency lower than 44100.

Did you already know this problem? Are you planning to fix it? Would be GREAT and would make me love your tool even more.

Comments:Thank you so much for tidymp3. Nothing more annoying than loading all your tracks into iTunes... and it finds a bunch of different versions of the same artist. Why? Oh you may have just spent the last two hours cleaning up all your ID3v2 tags... but there's conflicting v1 tags... or redundant tags! Why is there both an "Artist", "Album", and "ALBUM ARTIST" tag in the ID3v2 section? If you select "Delete all tags"... only deletes v1 tags on the current view on the current folder. I'm not gonna go through six passes for each album. Your program gave me the assurance all my MP3's were nice and empty, ready for me to batch-tag them properly.

Comments:Well, was excellent.

The loss of interconnectivity with FreeDb is a royal pain in the a*se.

I understand the online search is working again now, also my MP3TagEditor is connecting to Freedb OK.

Hoping you can re-establish this functionality to the otherwise excellent application.

Any chance to get CueMaster working with FreeDB again? EAC also had probs for some time and now is using FreeDB online again. Seems there are some changes in FreeDB and I can't get CueMaster working with it, but all infos I looked for were available using FreeDB's search function.

Comments:Hi and congratulations for your work.
I have 2 remarks though :

- I would suggest you remove the warning concerning Internet Explorer and replace it with a note in the bottom of your web site, for example. I see your point, but I use Opera anyway :)

- TidyMP3 is certainly a valuable tool, but the removing of idv1 tags should be an option. I know it's up to the user to be careful, especially without a GUI, but I realized I deleted *ALL* my tags in the process. At least, it should warn the user that *ALL* tags will be erased before starting.

Greets,

Comments:Hi again,

thanks for this excellent program. Can I rerequest an option for cuemaster? As I wrote already in 2002, I really need the option to edit cue-files for tracks longer then 100 minutes. I only listen to DJ-Sets an build the cues for it. I always stumble about the 100 minute limit. You told me in 2002, you didn't think about those mixes, but you will implement it in a next version.
Is this still possible?

TIA

Comments:There's a Firefox search plugin for Freedb that still works. The link is here: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html?name=freedb&sherlock=yes&opensearch=yes&submitform=Search

Maybe someone could look at it and see if the search url could be used in cuemaster. I had a quick play but didn't get it working. In theory though, we should be able to get it to work since I can search freedb from my Firefox search window just fine.

Some suggests:
- Could CueMaster scan CDs in drivers and make a new sheet with the tracks? It will be great.
- It will be great if i could move the tracks with drag and drop. ;)

Thankz for your really nice useful soft.

P.D: I have a dream... Someday could rip my CD's n edit cuesheets in the same soft. (CDex + CueMaster = Wowww!!!!)

I am using version 1.7 build#1348. Windows Firewall is turned off, as I have Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security 2005 Professional. Cuemaster is configured to be able to connect to the internet on all ports.
My setting for the FreeDB URL is http://www.freedb.org/freedb/%x/%y.
Any help is appreciated.

Comments:I changed my rating.

It's a great interface and seems to be the only software out there to offer simple editing of music/album cue sheets.

But the more I think of it the more irritated I get that this programs only works with mp3-files and screws up references for cue sheets pointing to other files. Is the author of the software not aware of the fact that other music file formats also can use cue sheets? Why force the mp3 value into the cue sheet?

It would be nice with an explanation of why that has been implemented.

Personally, 90% of the time I run into a cue sheet it is together with and APE file. And if I use cueMaster on that sheet then I have to manually edit the file reference in notepad in order for it to be correct.

As of now, I will stop using CueMaster because it screws up my sheets, but I hope for the future that this flaw will be addressed because the interface is the best I have come across in a cue sheet editor.

Please stop forcing the mp3 value into the sheet.

Thank you!

Comments:Great software!

However, I have one question:

I use Cuemaster 1.6 to edit existing cue sheets to my liking, and whenever I save a sheet a couple if identification lines from Cuemaster are added to the sheet.

That is ok, but what is worse is that Cuemaster always insists on changing the file reference to point to a mp3 file.

I mostly have cue sheets for APE files and thus Cuemaster breaks the link between the sheet and the music file every time I save a cue sheet in the software.

A line such as:
FILE "CDImage4.ape" WAVE

is changed into:
FILE "CDImage4.mp3" MP3

I would be greatful if this could be fixed or if you could send me a workaround for this.

Thanks!

Comments:Cue files are quirky. There doesn't seem to be a standard.

I don't use your program every day but sometimes when I have a .cue file with problems it helps.

With this particular .cue file it doesn't solve my problem and gives an error message instead:

"Error on line 12 Multiple File Statements Not Allowed."

I have stared at the file in notepad but don't know .cue files well enough to understand what is wrong.

This .cue file when played in foobar 2000 plays song number two twice once as the second song & once as the third thus playing the third song when it should be playing the fourth and so on and so on.

CAN YOU TELL ME BEST PLACE TO UNDERSTAND PROPER CUE FILE STANDARD?

Can you tell me what is wrong with this .cue file:
(I may have changed .wav to .flac since I usually use Burrrn or Nero which have .flac plugin and no need to decompress, but don't see how that would matter).

Comments:With a few additions would be perfect. I see .wav files with bad or no cues and it would be nice to rebuild original cd timing.

You already scan a directory (but not for wav), you already search freedb... If you scan a directory for wav names and play times, and then merge with freedb time/position information you could write a WAVE (or MP3) cue with both source filename and index for each track with little required intervention -- perfect.

Any ideas?

If you scan these files sometimes with encspot they will show the correct number of sync errors for the number of tracks on the album.

Would it be possible to attempt splitting the file or creating a cue sheet based on the position of the sync errors?

First of all I wanne say that cuemaster is a great program.

I am currently working on a music archive program in VB.net, but it's hard to find any information on how to search the FREEDB for other than the DISCID. I was wondering if you could explain me how you are able to search the FREEDB on artist name or album name.
And is it possible to somehow get (a part of) the source-code, so I could take a look at how you made the program.

Kind Regards,

Dieter

Comments:OK...tryin to figure this out. Extracted a mix CD as a single 192k MP3 file by using the last sector of the last track and copying this to the last sector of the first track in Audiograbber, and then exported the cue sheet to this MP3, but still cant skip around. Isnt that what I should be able to do, is jump around in the mix, according to the times on the cue sheet?

Ill be the first to admit that Im VERY new to all this.

also...any chance of .vorbis support?

thanks!

>> jul 23 '05: Exactly that's what the cue-sheet is for. But your mp3 player software will need to support cue-sheets also. Foobar2000 supports it, and for WinAmp there's a plugin called mp3cue. WMP doesnt have cue support AFAIK..

Comments:CueMaster seems to be the only Cuesheet program for Windows that is freeware. I think you should make it more like CDRCue as I find CueMaster very confusing. I load up my large mp3 mixes into Soundforge and find the correct times of the cue-points but CueMaster is not asking for the cuepoints of when each track starts its asking for the duration of each track. Why is that? Another thing that seems to be a flaw in the program is that if I enter the exact time of 15:32:22 CueMaster inputs that as 15:32:00. That doesnt seem very accurate.

>> jul 23 '05: These issues will be fixed in the next release. Until then, you can use CDRCue if you want.

Great software, small size, you should teach em at Microsoft!

Small bug - when the CD title has a period in it, Cuemaster doesn't add the .cue at the end of the file name. If you search freedb for 'desyn', choose the CD called OS_0.1, and save as cue file, there is no extension.

otherwise, have a beer on me :--)

What do you think of CueMaster?: Nice
Comments:The search function does not work; CueMaster keeps saying that there are no results. Whereas, if I try a search ID function, by going to to the freedb.org search page, get a diskid, it works mostly.
Can't wait for newer versions to fix bugs. I would love to see:

1. or use a local freedb.org database on disk.
2. Scan to find freedb.org site by country.

What do you think of CueMaster?: Not very good
Comments:I have a lot of .wav and .cues with no track names. I need something that will do a lookup of the existing track lengths, and get the names, and save that into the cue sheet so I can burn with CD text.

pls give it a try to act together with daemon. make it happen that daemon could load mp3 files with cue.

What do you think of CueMaster?: Not very good
Comments:Most functions work fine but...

Doubleclicking an album title in the "FreeDB search"-screen doesn't work.
I see "Result 10 of 27 / Category: jazz / DiscID a1b2c3d4" jazz" but I do not get a tracklist after doubleclicking: nothing happens.

I have to manually put the DiscID numbers in the "Load FreeDB Tracklist" popup screen, and select the right category, the get a tracklist.

(I'm running Win98. Is it because I've blocked Javascript?)

Comments:It did the right job with those big mixed mp3s. Just search freedb, export the cue file and burn with Feurio. That's all folks ! Great !

What do you think of CueMaster?: Excellent!
Comments:Really Excellent! I use DJ Livesets, and sometimes they are 2 till 3 hours long. I noticed that I get an error message, if the cue has an entry above 100 minutes. During opening CueMaster complains that the cue has an invalid entry at e.g. 103.05...
Do I have to edit the cue manually before or can you please fix it in one of your next version.
